The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), General Muhammadu Buhari, has stated that the unity of the country is paramount to all well meaning citizens, adding that all hands must b on deck to rescue it from collapse.
Buhari recalled how trade, inter-marriages had been the factors uniting this country, noting that the things binding the people of the north and south are strong enough to take this country to the right place among the comity of nations.
He frowned on people he described as pessimists for saying that Nigeria will disintegrate, adding that instead of people having the negative notion, they should work assiduously to bring the country to the right track.
Buhari said Nigerians are yearning for change, assuring that he change can only be successful if the citizens obtain their permanent voters’ cards (PVCs) which will enable them to vote out leaders that are incapable to rule.
Speaking in Kano on Tuesday at a town hall meeting with the organized private sector held at Africa House in Kano Government House, stated: "The country will not disintegrate because of some few people’s sentiment. "
