Ondo: Two siblings, one other die in auto crash

Two siblings were among the three people that were confirmed dead in an auto crash that occurred at Etioro-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area of Ondo State Thursday.
The accident, eyewitness said was caused by high speed of a driver of a commercial bus coming from Abuja who was trying to evade arrest by his colleagues.
It was learnt that the bus which was on a top speed crushed a commercial motorcycle conveying three persons to death. Etioro-Akoko and the three persons, two of who were of the same father died instantly.
One of the witnesses said that the driver of the commercial bus had carried some passengers on the road and officials of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) were on his trail before he got to Etioro-Akoko where his bus hit the motorcycle.
Attempts to arrest the NURTW officials when the accident occurred, however, failed as they took to their heels immediately they got wind of the accident.
The Unit commander of the Federal Roads Safety Corps (FRSC) in Ikare, Mr Jimoh Basiru confirmed the accident to New Telegraph on phone.
Basiru said that the corpses of the victims have been deposited at the State Specialist Hospital, Ikare, while the commercial bus has been impounded and the driver handed over to the Police.
