Following the sudden upsurge in the operation of motorcyclists (Okada) within the city centre and other restricted areas of the nation’s capital, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu has reminded FCT residents and all okada riders that the ban on their activities is still in full force.
He therefore warned those in the habit of operating in the city centre instead of restricting their activities to the designated points approved for their operations to desist from the act forthwith or face the full weight of the law.
“Thus, the re-enforcement of the ban on okada operation at undesignated areas of the nation’s capital is with immediate effect,” the Police Commissioner said.
