Violence Erupt at Nnamdi Azikwe Airport following cancellation of flight by Aero Contractors. Report says the airline cancelled a flight initially scheduled for 6pm on May 2, but was cancelled at 9.05pm after passengers had waited 3 hours.
The angry passengers reportedly descended on Aero staff and properties upon hearing the news. They were said to have destroyed some of the company’s valuables, as other staff took to their heels for the fear of being mobbed.
Passengers are now said to be stranded at the airport.
